I feel most comfortable with action for multiple reasons ġ: It only cost 30 dollars for personal use (50 for a full license which I'd still say is money well spent)Ģ: It does support dual audio stream, so you can record both gameplay audio, and commentary in the same file, but if that isn't enough, you can even balance the audioģ: versus DXTory it's not over complicated, (and does not for drop fraps/kill performance which DXTory sadly did)Ĥ: Possibility for webcam recording, but I haven't tried this yet but seems like you need a good webcam (to have your audio in sync)ĥ: It does come with a streaming posibilityĦ: Haven't yet discovered a time where it didn't record or would suddenly stop recording somethingħ: You can encode the file while recording for instant upload to your youtube, and this option does indeed take up some CPU power but never noticed a problem on quad cores (8 logical cores)Ĩ: Optional overlay which doesn't fill up the screen and does only show you the most important info (a little more customization would be nice tho)ĩ: mirillis action is writen in what I believe is C++ where DXTory is written in C# and if people here know a little about programming language you should know that C# is a memory heavy languageġ0: Great support, It seems to me that if there is ever a problem the developers and forum is there to help you within 24 hours but haven't yet been so unfortunate. However, yesterday evening I updated Windows 10 completely with the latest updates (it was something like a big April 2018 update), and suddenly DXtory refuses to record whatsoever. Personally I use mirillis action, comming from frap to DXTory and then to action. When I booted up the PC and had everything installed, I did some tests after installing DXtory, everything was working wonderful like it did on my older computer.
